hello there, pretty kitty!
cookies for a…. you guessed it… Hello Kitty themed birthday party!
Her bows are royal icing transfers… I’m obsessed with this process!
I really hope Miss Maddie had a fabulous birthday!!
So, last summer I made cookie favors for a wedding party/celebration for one of my BFFs, Casie, who lives in Boston. I met Ginetta, who lives in LA, while we were all in Boston for the party. She and her husband were just awesome and we all had the best time!
This month, Ginetta asked me to make cookies for her mom’s 70th Birthday Party. We decided to do a mixture of flowers, cakes, and presents!
I used the invitation for inspiration for the colors.
pretty presents….. I always knew all the time I spend doodling and drawing flowers in class would pay off!
These are on their way to California, too! Lucky cookies!! I was so tickled that Ginetta remembered me and my cookies and asked me to help out with such a special occasion! I hope the party is wonderful!!
yellow and gray vintage inspired cookies
A friend asked me to make cookies for favors for a bridal shower.
“Her wedding colors are yellow and grey and everything is going to be very “vintagey” (milk bottles, wooden crates, lanterns, and cute pennant flags made out of pretty fabric. Also, her save the dates were very old school—junior high style. It was a piece of binder paper with MF + BK and a bright red heart.”
along with the invitation, which was adorable, I had plenty of inspiration!
I just love this color scheme and I had so much fun decorating these cookies. It was also my first time to ship to California, and I considered bubble wrapping myself and going with them! I mean, “The OC” was one of my favorite TV shows!
Barney-esque Birthday Cookies!
A two year old’s dream birthday party: Barney!
Her mom’s dream party: anything but a giant, purple dinosaur.
So, a compromise was made….. Barney’s signature colors in two, personalized cookies! Perfect!
I am IN LOVE with using royal icing transfers! (i pre-made the number 2s using icing and non-pareils). this is a brilliant and time saving technique. Thank heavens for Sweetopia and her amazing tutorial!
a lovely compromise! really, what problems can’t a good cookie solve??
birthday cookies!cookies for two boys sharing a birthday. (Both names start with “B”, one is turning 2 and the other 3!)
These cookies are a surprise for the boys to have on a trip to Disney!
sock monkey cookies!
sweet pastel bunnies and chicks….perfect for a neighborhood Egg Hunt!
bow tied bunnies with fluffy tails!
A few of these were also a surprise for my nieces…. I have it on good authority that they were thrilled! of course, they are my biggest fans and only slightly biased!
tiny heart cookies
I made these small heart shaped cookies as a special treat for my coworkers. They were a little dangerous because before I knew it, I would have eaten 3 or 4! I do have to make sure they are good, so technically I have to sample them! :)
Sock Monkey Cookies
I was very excited when London’s very sweet mom asked me to make cookies for her Sock Monkey themed party! I used her invitation for inspiration.
I played around with marbling the brown/white icing to try to mimic a sock monkey.
Sock Monkeys galore! They were used as favors in the treat bags and as part of the yummy dessert table!
Thank you so much for letting me be a part of London’s special day!!!
tutu pink and pearl tiaras!
I made these cookies for my niece’s 6th birthday. It was the first time I used luster pearls, and I loved using them! Mattie Claire was very happy with her cookies! (although she really wanted ballerinas!) I forsee a ballerina cookie post in my future!
